Look within!

by

Look inside!
Look within!
I know what you see.
You see yourself
On the ocean of your soul.
Barely holding onto your raft
Being thrown around
By rogue waves.
How your bullies once
Threw your bag around after school –
A crying monkey
In the middle …

I can see in your face.
Storm raging inside you!
Only a raft of fortitude
Floating between your sorry ass
And the deep abyss
That won’t even bother
Looking back at you…

Dare to dive deep
Beneath that ocean;
Survive your shark toothed self hatred.
You’ll find tiny mollusks
Decorating your rock bottom,
Taking in your dirt
And turning them into hope –
Pearls that will one day adorn
The bare breasts
Of the Goddess within you.
